Walnut Valley Applauds 2013 Retirees

WALNUT, CA--The Walnut Valley Unified School District honored to the 2013 retirees during a ceremony held May 15.

A total of 21 employees including administrators, teachers, and classified personnel, were recognized for their years of outstanding dedication to students during the ceremony held at the District Education Center.

Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Dr. Kathy Granger co-hosted the event with Director of Educational Services Jackie Brown.

Each honoree received certificates of recognition, retirement gifts, and heartfelt congratulations from the Board of Trustees.

Board President Helen Hall addressed the retirees on beginning the next phase in their lives.

“Chapter Two is about doing the things that you really enjoy doing,” she said.

“We look at retirement as a step into the future with time to enjoy family and the things that you want to do. So whatever your Chapter Two might be – just enjoy it.  Thank you for all of the service you have given the District. We truly appreciate it and come back and see us sometime!” she said.
